Children with energy don’t need drugs — As the understanding of how kids play, the energy of young children, the way some have more energy than others, as we lose that sense from generation to generation, as the understanding of it isn’t passed down, what we automatically think is that oh this kid needs to be on something. Let’s do something to calm them down.

Many parents are play-deprived — There is a huge gap between the way I played and the way this generation now plays.
Bombarded with information – too little knowledge — Parents have been bombarded with so much information, not knowledge. They don’t have the knowledge about children that I had, that I brought to my children. They are scared. They’re frightened. They don’t know who to listen to.
Respecting individual learning styles — One of the most important things they can think about is that parents will never lose their parenthood. And if we had started fifty years ago helping parents know how to advocate for their kid and the energy of the kid the world would be a different place. Schools would be different.
Passion and energy — You want the passion and energy. Violence is what you don’t want.
Discovering who I am — The most important thing you can have is a sense of themselves, who they are. How they fit in, how they fit into the play group. How they fit in with the elders. How they fit in in every way.
